ACS Designs One-Screen Program/Turns Computer File System Upside Down

Filenames! Where are they when you need them?
When it comes to locating a filename we saved three days ago, a lot of water has flowed under the bridge. Did you know the water exits the Nile River at a rate of 680,000 gallons per second? Now that is a lot of water!
Do you know on what storage device you saved all the files you created the previous week on a Monday morning? Better yet, do you recall the filename you gave each of the files? What about several hundred filenames scatted in decades of folders—do you know where they are stored?
The water that exits the Nile River is of no consequence while using a computer. But where you stored your filenames has its consequences. It affects your efficiency, your stress level, your anxiety of events and most of all, your productivity. What you could have accomplished is less then what is possible. Why sell yourself short? Your Computer needs a FileButler!
O well, you have a ‘Search’ program that will bail you out. It indisputably will waste your valuable time but it is a necessary evil of how the file structure is created within a computer. We have been using it for centuries therefore it must be good! Wrong! Did you know there is a better way? Few computer users do.
So I did something about it!
I was tired of searching through the many folders to find my created file yesterday. Thinking to myself, “there has to be a better way.” And there is!
Why not let the all powerful computer do the work of displaying the filenames on my screen and let me select which filename I want to view? Give me choices. Better yet, why not arrange these filenames by extension—that is, put like files in one column? Why not put several columns on my display, each with a different file extension? Let’s go further by letting the user select what filenames are to be displayed!
So I sat down with my in-house programmer, told him my woes with filenames and wrote out the design specifications of what is now known as FileButler! Pure fun! This is no doubt. Your Computer needs a FileButler! That I do know!
